Meet Your Instructor
Sarah Callaham Margetts, Director of The Body Method, is a leading injury-informed Pilates practitioner. She guides and empowers people around the world to move better, feel better, and become a stronger, more balanced, version of themselves - free from pain and limitations.
With over 14 years of teaching experience, 500+hr Comprehensive National Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) qualification, 200hr Yoga Teacher certification, two bachelor degrees, and a specialisation in Neuro-Kinetic Pilates for spinal cord injuries, Sarah is well-equipped to provide you with a comprehensive education in Pilates.
Sarah’s journey began when she found herself in the pursuit of a solution to her struggles with chronic pain since the age of 11 and injuries. After years of discomfort, Sarah finally found relief in practicing Pilates and quickly became enamored with its transformative power.
Today, Sarah is on a mission to guide others to build solid foundations in fundamental movements so they can achieve their wellness goals - whether it’s improved posture, reduced pain, increased range of motion, or enhanced strength - and ultimately, transform their lives.

We always suggest to consult your health practitioner, or doctor, before trying any new form of exercise – particularly if you’re pregnant, postnatal or have an injury.
That being said, we will provide variations for some movements, and you can always book a 1:1 online consultation to discuss your specific needs and be provided with specific variations for your situation.

While the course is 4 weeks long, you will receive unlimited access to the course for as long as it is listed on our website!

If you’ve recently had a baby, we suggest having a 1:1 in-person session with a trained professional first, before beginning any online program.
Whilst the online program may not be for you, you can always book an in-studio 1:1 class or an online consultation here.
This program is not suitable for pregnant people. -
You will need a yoga mat, full-length/ long foam roller, small myofascial release ball, access to a full-length mirror for the postural assessment, and a device to watch the videos on.
Optional: resistance bands, hand weights, bosu/fit ball, yoga block/step.

Throughout this 4 week program, each week you will be granted access to that week’s content - a tutorial video and a workout video, plus bonus videos which are included to help you get the most out of the program.
In week 1, we start with a postural assessment for you to gain a greater understanding of where your body is starting.
From there, we have the tutorial and the workout, plus bonus videos - Pilates Breathing, Stretches, and Variations. You will watch the tutorial video first to understand the “why” behind workouts and to learn a little bit more about your body and how it works.
Once you have watched the tutorial, you can hop right into the Pelvic stability workout video. The workout video is designed to be repeated throughout the first week 5 times.
In week 2 we dive into fascia. Again you will start with watching the tutorial video and follow along with how to do the myo-fascial release on your own.
You can then follow along with the video for the rest of the week, or you can just follow the order of the release on our resources page. This is recommended that you do the release 5 times, as well as the Pelvic Stability workout 4 times, in week 2.
For week 3, we add in a bit of instability through the use of the foam roller. You start the week out by watching the foam roller tutorial and then follow along with the foam roller workout. You will repeat the foam roller workout 4 times in week 3 and you will continue doing your myo-fascial release 5 times throughout the week.
Finally, we finish with week 4, integrating it all into standing. Once again, we start out with the Integration into Standing tutorial, and then hop into the Integration into Standing workout video, which you will repeat 3 times.
For the other 2 workouts that week, you will be doing your foam roller workout again, as well as continuing your myo-fascial release 5 times for the week.
The idea behind it is we are building. We start with the foundation, and then we continue to build on top of what we have learned intellectually, as well as physically in our bodies, to give us the best possible outcome from where we are right now.

All of the videos are designed with your busy time schedule in mind. This is why we have split up the tutorials from the workouts, so that you can watch the tutorial while you are making dinner, on the train/bus to work, or waiting for an appointment.
You can stop and start them at any time, or go back over it if you need a little more clarification.
The longest video is 45mins long which is the myo-fascial release tutorial, but again you can split it up so that you do the first half in the morning and the second half after work.
All of our suggestions on how many times a week to do your workouts, are just that, suggestions. It is what we know will get you the best results, but you are always welcome to modify it to fit your lifestyle. Generally, each workout will take you about 15-20 mins to do.
